Call For Speakers & Authors
PMImpact 2026

Have an idea that could change how we think about project success? We want to hear it.
On Friday, November 27, 2026, professionals from across disciplines will come together at the Rogers Centre in Ottawa for PMImpact 2026 — Where Strategy, Solutions & Change Create Impact.
And we're looking for voices that will make people think differently, challenge assumptions, share what actually works, and leave with ideas they can put into action.
📣 Call for Speakers & Authors Closes: Friday, October 23, 2026
📩 Speaker & Author Notifications: Friday, October 30, 2026
📅 PMImpact 2026: Friday, November 27, 2026
PMImpact isn't designed to be another conference where professions, industries, and ideas stay in separate rooms.
Because project success takes more than project management.
It takes people who understand the problem. People who translate strategy into solutions. People who deliver. People who lead change. People who challenge conventional thinking. People who bring new ideas into the conversation. And people who ensure that what we create actually produces value.
If you have something meaningful to contribute to that conversation, we want you at PMImpact.
Three Professional Streams. One Shared Outcome.
We're seeking speakers, authors, practitioners, researchers, leaders, innovators, storytellers, and emerging voices to contribute across three primary streams:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT — From Strategy to Delivery
Project, program and portfolio management • PMOs • leadership • governance • risk • stakeholder engagement • agile and hybrid delivery • major projects • strategy execution • performance • benefits and value realization
BUSINESS ANALYSIS — From Need to Solution
Business analysis • strategic analysis • requirements • problem definition • solution design • product • data and insights • process improvement • value • decision-making
CHANGE MANAGEMENT — From Solution to Adoption
Organizational change • transformation • leadership • culture • communication • stakeholder engagement • adoption • behavioural change • capability building • benefits realization
We are also seeking French-language submissions across all three disciplines for our dedicated Parcours francophone.
Ideas That Cross the Lines Are Especially Welcome
Some of the most valuable conversations happen between professions.
That's why PMImpact will feature Cross-Profession Impact Sessions that bring different perspectives together around shared challenges.
Consider questions like:
- The project was delivered. Why didn't it create value?
- We built the right solution. Why isn't anyone using it?
- Who actually owns project success?
- What happens when AI changes not only how we deliver projects—but how organizations make decisions?
- Where should Business Analysis end and Project Management begin—and does that boundary still matter?
- How do we move from measuring delivery to measuring impact?
If your idea doesn't fit neatly into one professional box, that may be exactly what we're looking for.
What Else Are We Exploring?
PMImpact will explore the forces reshaping how organizations create value, including Artificial Intelligence, Agile, Product Management, PMOs, sustainability, social impact, major and giga projects, technology, strategy, consulting, innovation, leadership, and the future of work.
But we're less interested in buzzwords than in insight.
We want the lessons behind the success. The decisions that changed the outcome. The experiment that failed. The assumption that turned out to be wrong. The research that challenges conventional wisdom. The framework that offers a different way forward. The approach your organization tried that others could learn from.
Don't just tell us what happened. Help us understand why it matters.
We're Looking for More Than Traditional Presentations
Great learning doesn't have to mean 45 minutes of slides.
We're looking for formats that create conversation, participation, reflection, and practical learning.
Submissions may include:
- Interactive Presentations & Workshops — practical sessions that actively involve participants in the learning experience.
- Impact Talks — focused, compelling talks built around one powerful idea, experience, insight, or lesson.
- Case Studies — honest examinations of what happened, what worked, what didn't, what changed, and what others can learn.
- Cross-Profession Conversations & Panels — multiple disciplines bringing different perspectives to the same challenge.
- Author Talks & Ideas Worth Exploring — bring the central idea, research, framework, or argument behind your published work into conversation with the PMImpact community.
- Facilitated Discussions, Simulations & Experiential Sessions — sessions where participants learn through discussion, problem-solving, experimentation, or experience.
- French-Language Sessions — presentations and experiences across Project Management, Business Analysis, and Change Management as part of our Parcours francophone.
Whatever the format, attendees should leave with something they can question, apply, discuss, share, or do differently.
Authors at PMImpact
Written something that's changing the conversation? Bring it with you.
PMImpact welcomes authors whose work connects to project success, project management, business analysis, organizational change, leadership, strategy, transformation, AI, innovation, organizational performance, product, sustainability, or the future of work.
If you've written a book, published research, developed a framework, or introduced an idea that challenges how organizations and professionals think about these subjects, we want to hear from you.
But we're not looking for a sales pitch.
We're interested in the idea behind your work—the argument, research, experience, framework, discovery, or perspective that could change how someone approaches their work the next day.
Selected authors may also have opportunities beyond their formal session to meet attendees, participate in conversations, and showcase their published work as part of the PMImpact experience.
Who Should Apply?
You don't need to be a professional speaker—and you don't need to have spoken at a PMI event before.
We're interested in ideas, experience, research, stories, and perspectives worth sharing.
We encourage submissions from authors and published thought leaders, experienced practitioners, executives, project and program leaders, business analysts, change professionals, consultants, researchers, academics, public servants, technology leaders, PMO professionals, product and agile practitioners, educators, students, emerging professionals, and people whose work crosses traditional professional boundaries.
We particularly want to create room for new and emerging voices alongside experienced speakers and established authors.
A powerful idea matters more to us than the size of your following or the number of conferences on your résumé.
What Makes a Strong PMImpact Proposal?
The strongest submissions will:
- Challenge — Question conventional thinking, assumptions, or established ways of working.
- Connect — Tie ideas to real organizational, professional, or project challenges.
- Engage — Create an experience that involves participants rather than simply presenting information to them.
- Cross Boundaries — Connect professions, industries, perspectives, generations, technologies, or ways of working.
- Share Honestly — Tell us what worked, what didn't, what surprised you, and what others can learn from the experience.
- Make It Practical — Give participants ideas, approaches, questions, tools, or perspectives they can take back to their organizations.
And most importantly:
Create impact beyond the room.
Your Idea Could Shape the Conversation.
PMImpact isn't just asking:
How do we manage projects better?
We're asking something bigger:
How do we create better project outcomes?
If you have an idea, experience, case study, research finding, published work, challenge, framework, or perspective that can help answer that question, we want to hear from you.
Submit your proposal by Friday, October 23, 2026.
We will notify selected speakers and authors by Friday, October 30, 2026.
