Mx. Who - Building Out-of-this-world Leadership Capability

Both effective leadership skills and management skills play a critical role in successful project management. Leaders motivate and inspire whereas managers provide control and operational oversight.

In the context of “Doctor Who”, the classic long-running TV programme, this presentation talks about effective leadership, by moving above the typical focus on specific areas, and putting it all together to build the whole package of who you are, what you represent, and how you operate towards being an effective leader.

Adopting a unique style, this presentation has leadership content that is applicable to managers, project managers, or anyone seeking to increase their leadership capability and impact.  You don’t have to be a Dr Who fan to obtain value from this session, but you will enjoy it more if you are a Dr Who fan!

In making reference to Doctor Who, yet applying this topic to all of us, the profession-neutral title “Mx” replaces “Doctor”, resulting in the presentation title of Mx Who”.

You can look forward to learning:

  1. Leadership skills – understand how to be an effective leader who can motivate and inspire project team members towards successful project outcomes.
  2.  Communications skills – understand how to lead effectively by using your communications skills when managing projects.
  3. Managing teams – understand how to leverage teaming, agility, relating, dependability, intelligence, and skills within your overall leadership skills portfolio towards effective management of project teams.
