PMI OVOC Online PMP Preparation Course - May 2020

PMI OVOC has been an official Chapter of PMI for the past 35 years.  We are proud to offer PMP PREP Courses that deliver the 35 hours of project management education/training required to qualify to write the PMP® Exam.

PMI OVOC is now offering Instructor-Led LIVE online Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam Prep Course.  Participants will learn valuable strategies and obtain tips for taking their exam.  The online course includes a wide variety of learning tools and study aids including an 8-week subscription for online exam questions and detailed solutions.

The course is offered as a live broadcast and each 4-hour session is recorded.  Participants will have access to each of the video recordings for up to 2 weeks following the last course (videos expire on June 12th).

This course is designed to help participants prepare to successfully pass the PMP and CAPM exams.

PMP Certification Prerequisite’s

Candidates applying for certification as Project Management Professionals must satisfy the educational and experiential requirements for one of the following categories listed below and agree to abide by the Project Management Professional Code of Professional Conduct. A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)

  • (5) five years of project management experience
  • 7,500 hours (minimum) leading and directing projects within the 5 process groups
  • 35 contact hours – PMP Preparation Course

The number of hours on the Experience Verification Form(s) must total at least 4,500 hours and the project dates must indicate that the candidate has at least three (3) years of project management experience within the eight-year (8) period prior to the application. Candidates must indicate at least thirty-six (36) unique (non-overlapping) months of project management experience on the Experience Verification Form(s) to satisfy the three-year (3) requirement.

OR

  • A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or university equivalent)
  • (3) three years of project management experience
  • 4,500 hours (minimum) leading and directing projects within the 5 process groups
  • 35 contact hours – PMP Preparation Course

The number of hours on the Experience Verification Form(s) must total at least 7,500 hours and the project dates must indicate that the candidate has at least five (5) years of project management experience within the eight-year (8) period prior to the application. Candidates must indicate at least sixty (60) unique (non-overlapping) months of project management experience on the Experience Verification Form(s) to satisfy the five-year (5) requirement.

Modules 2-12 also include group discussion on sample exam questions.

The course will begin May 6 and will run May 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 20, 22, 25, 27 and 29 from 8:00 AM to 12:15 AM each of the days.
