Lunch & Learn | The Green Blueprint: Leading Sustainable Projects with Purpose

Power Skills
Ways of Working
Business Acumen

Session Abstract
In this session, project leader and sustainability consultant Alina Yaneva will walk you through two real-world initiatives—one focused on truckload optimization in retail logistics, and the other on environmental stewardship and recycling compliance across Canada. Learn how these projects went beyond compliance and cost savings to become strategic levers for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) transformation.
Alina will share how project management principles like stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, change management, and hybrid methodologies were key to overcoming complex challenges. Whether you're managing supply chains, IT systems, or compliance-heavy programs, this webinar will offer concrete tools and inspiration to help you embed sustainability into the heart of your projects.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize how sustainability can drive both strategic alignment and measurable impact in project delivery
- Identify common pitfalls in scope, stakeholder, and risk management within cross-functional sustainability initiatives
- Apply lessons learned from real-life project challenges to improve governance, change adoption, and operational readiness
- Translate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals into actionable frameworks using project management best practices
