Bryon McConnell thought he would make his career as a practicing Engineering Chemist, but after obtaining his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Queen's University he has instead spent the past 30 years as a functionary: he has been a regulator, an environmental practitioner, a contracting officer, a manager, and of course, a project manager. He is a licensed engineer in Ontario, is a Member of the Chemical Institute of Canada, is a certified Project Management Professional, and is the President of Bryon McConnell Project Management Incorporated. He is here today delivering material from his "Rules for Project Management" series.

Learning outcome

Attendees will gain practical project management insight derived from real-world projects, an insight that is not given in standard project management textbooks.
