Raji Alani, PMP, C.Eng., M.Sc., Ph.D., P Eng., PEO

Dr. Raji Alani is a Senior Project Management expert with extensive experience since 1989 in Engineering Project Management. In addition to he has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, he is holding a Doctorate in Engineering Project Management and Masters of Science in Construction Project Management, all from Universities in the United Kingdom. His experience has covered both academic and industrial sides of Project Management. His academic side concentrated on teaching many under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Project Management since 1987 for many International and Canadian Universities and Colleges, as well as has over 80 researches in Project Management, most of them published in international journal. He also conducted and directed over 50 training courses and workshops in Engineering Project Management. His industrial experience started in 1987 as project management engineer, then he has held many international project management consultancy positions, most of them in the Middle East engineering projects. Since he moved into Canada and currently, he is holding a position of a Project Management Consultant for an engineering corporation in Ontario. Voluntarily, he is holding a Director, in Large for PMI, as well as a member of Kingston Planning Committee KPC and a member of PMI/Ottawa Chapter.

Nadine Fortin, PCC, P.Eng., PMP

Nadine believes that we all aspire to make a positive difference around us. She helps her clients give a voice to their ideas, ambition and aspirations, and transform them into bold projects that create a future with more value. She is a strategic leadership coach who works with project managers, technical managers and executives.

Nadine is a credentialed trainer (Commission des partenariats du marché du travail – Québec) and has trained hundreds of coaches, leaders and project managers. She owned a professional coaching school from 2007 to 2010 where she lead many projects. She also runs a Train-the-Web-Trainer program.

Before becoming a coach, Nadine worked for 13 years on many large Canadian government technical projects as an aerospace engineering officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as a Senior Systems Engineer and Project Manager with two large IM consulting corporations.

Nadine is a PMP since 2004. She is also a professional certified coach (International Coach Federation), a professional engineer (Professional Engineers Ontario), a Nova Profile consultant (SwissNova). She also has the ITIL Foundation designation.

Colin Lindsay, M.Sc., M.PM., PMP

Colin has 20 years of experience as a project manager, having managed numerous IM/IT, business process optimization, and outsourcing projects. Prior to that, he spent a decade as a combat systems engineering officer in the Canadian Navy.

Colin teaches project management in graduate programs at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, as well as Zhejiang Gongshang University, Guizhou University and the Tianjin University of Technology. Colin attained his certification as a Project Management Professional in 1997 and received his Masters of Project Management in 1998. Colin has been helping prospective candidates prepare for the PMP certification exam for several years for the OVOC chapter of PMI and redesigned and developed the course material to bring it into alignment with versions 3, 4 and now 5 of the PMBoK.

Flavio Mior, PMP, B.A., ITIL

Flavio’s focus as a project leader has always been on the stakeholders. From experience, he applies an optimal weighting of process so that business – not methodology – drives results. Flavio has enjoyed success by removing obstacles across functional teams and building consensus among stakeholders. Flavio’s strengths lie in:

Project Management

Most days you’ll find Flavio in the role of Senior Project Manager. This entails guiding teams in building credible plans and executing as committed. When not leading projects he’s in a classroom helping people learn how to manage projects effectively or how to pass the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional Certification Exam.

Information Technology

Flavio’s extensive understanding of system development and integration, web-based solutions, data/telecom, secure IM/IS/IT environments, software and hardware development, and of numerous computing environments and tools (especially Microsoft Project and Office Productivity software) make him a knowledgeable and effective project leader.

Business Analyst

Managing projects is a discipline unto itself. Flavio understands how organizations need to balance this rigour with business processes. This is why he engages in Requirements Management so that work plans reflect true client wants and needs.


Flavio achieved Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2000 and ITIL Foundation certification in 2007.

Frank W. Townson, PMP, PMI-RMP, PRINCE2, CCMP

Frank served over 34 years in the federal public service, the last 18 years of which were in the property/realty/project management disciplines at Industry Canada, Treasury Board and at Foreign Affairs Canada (FAC). At FAC, he served as Director, Professional and Technical Services (architecture & engineering services, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, commissioning, IT and IM); Director, Berlin Embassy Project (design, construction and delivery of a $225+ million PPP initiative); Director, Project Implementation (project management and delivery); and Director, Property Programs (portfolio strategy, realty analysis). Since his retirement from the public service, he has gained a further 15 years of experience in private and public sector consulting as well as in providing PMP, RMP, CAPM, and PRINCE2 exam preparation training and other general project and change management courses.

Frank is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI). In addition, he holds the PRINCE2 Practitioner professional certification and is a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP). He has a Masters in Public Administration (cum laude) from Carleton University and a Bachelors in Political Science (Honours, cum laude) from Laurentian University.

Eric Uytewaal, PMP

Eric Uyttewaal is a project scheduling expert. He is one of the foremost trainers, consultants and authors on project and portfolio management practices and software from Microsoft. He authored the books ‘Forecasting Programs’, 'Forecast Scheduling with Microsoft Project 2010/2013/Online’ and ‘Dynamic Scheduling with Microsoft Project 2000/2002/2003’. He founded ProjectPro that specializes in Microsoft Project, Project Online and Project Server. Eric has been involved in large programs at the Canadian Forces, IBM Cognos, Northrop Grumman, SanDisk and Investors Group. He was President of the PMI Ottawa Chapter (1997) and President of the MPUG-Ottawa chapter in 2009. Eric received awards from MPUG in 2012 (Community Leader), from PMI in 2009 (Significant Contributions to the Scheduling Profession) and yearly awards from Microsoft from 2010 until 2017 (MVP in Project).

Patrick Warner, PMP

Patrick is a subject matter expert in the field of risk management with consulting experience in managing business, science and health risks.  Patrick teaches information and communications technology and international development at Carleton University.  Pat attended the Canadian Coast Guard College, Carleton University, University of Ottawa and Cape Breton University.
