Saturday Seminar - Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Topic: Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Eventually all project managers will have to deal with Business Continuity Management (Business Continuity plans, Disaster Recovery plans, Business Impact Assessments, Emergency Planning) either as part of their project, or as a deliverable for a project they are working on. This session will provide the attendee with a basic understanding of Business Continuity Management.

Presenter 1:  Betsy Sayers - Sayers Recovery Group - Business Continuity Planning (BCP) & Pandemic Response

Betsy will deliver a fast paced presentation providing attendees with a brief overview of industry best practices for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and the public domain materials available to support your BCP efforts.  Pandemic response planning for your business is unique in many ways and Betsy’s fun and entertaining way of demonstrating the potential impacts (aka pandemic poker) has been well received at several large conferences.  Not just a presentation on BCP or pandemic theory, Betsy will be sharing her pandemic planning workbook with attendees for post course use.

Betsy is a recognized industry leader with over 25 years of experience in IT disaster recovery, business continuity and municipal emergency management. An extremely popular conference speaker, exercise/workshop facilitator and BCP instructor, she enthusiastically enjoys helping clients and students to improve quickly through the sharing of hints, tips and techniques.

Few consultants have the extensive experience and documented success that Betsy has in the design, development and implementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) AND IT/DR programs and projects within private and public sector organizations.   She obtained her CBCP in 1992, MBCP in 2004 and was a very popular instructor for DRI International and DRI Canada for 23 years!

Presenter 2:  Alex Jankovic - Stratogrid Advisory - Business Impact Analysis - BIA
