NOMINATIONS REQUIRED FOR PMI OVOC BOARD ELECTION

The Elections Committee of the PMI-OVOC is seeking interested nominees to stand for election to the board of directors of the chapter. There are 6 director positions open this year to be filled.
This is a great opportunity to become involved, learn, earn PDUs and expand your contacts. The work of the chapter is important to the over 2100 local members. We need dedicated individuals to keep the chapter vibrant, relevant and forward looking. Without volunteers to run this organization, many of the chapter activities that we take for granted, would not be available. Here is your opportunity to help. Get involved!
Each director is elected for a two- year term. Board members elect the executive (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) from amongst their number. Other directors (i.e. those not in the executive) will be responsible for a portfolio (Professional Development, Membership Services, Public Relations, Information Services, Strategic Planning, Programs, Outreach Programs, Communications and Symposium) and will co-ordinate the effort of volunteers. Board meetings are held monthly in the evening. The estimated time commitment is from 20 to 30 hours a month depending upon the portfolio a director is responsible for.
